When should I book a doula?
Anytime! Many families book between 12–24 weeks to ensure on-call coverage from 37 weeks. But it’s never too late to reach out.
What areas do you serve?
I support families in Auburn, CA and nearby communities. Travel fees may apply beyond a certain distance — just ask for details.
What if I’m induced or need a cesarean?
I support all birth paths — spontaneous labor, induction, or cesarean — with comfort strategies, advocacy, and calm reassurance.
Do you offer virtual support?
Yes! If in-person support isn’t possible, I provide real-time guidance and partner coaching through phone or video.
What’s included in on-call coverage?
From 37 weeks until your birth, I’m available 24/7 for labor calls/texts and ready to join you when you’re ready for in-person support.
Do you have a backup doula?
Yes. I work with trusted backup doulas who can step in if an emergency prevents me from attending your birth.
What if my labor is very fast and you can’t make it?
If I can’t arrive in time due to precipitous labor or circumstances beyond our control, you’ll still receive prenatal and postpartum visits. Refunds/credits follow the service agreement.
How do payments work?
A 30% non-refundable retainer reserves your due month. The balance is due by 37 weeks. Installments are available.
Do you take insurance?
Direct billing isn’t common, but many HSA/FSA plans reimburse doula care. I provide itemized receipts and superbills on request.
What about refunds?
Retainers are non-refundable. If you cancel before 37 weeks, additional payments may be partially refunded depending on timing. If I miss the birth despite notice, backup/credits are outlined in the agreement.
🌿 Referral Program
Do you offer a referral program?
Yes! I love when families share their positive experiences. When you refer a new client who books a package, you’ll receive a special thank-you — either a credit toward future services or a keepsake photo mini-session. Your friend will also receive a small welcome discount with my referral code: AuburnDoula.
